Welcome to Lister (“Lister”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
Lister is an online classified marketplace that allows users to discover, list, buy, sell, and communicate about permitted products and services.
By accessing or using the Lister website, mobile application, or related services (“Platform”), you agree to these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use Lister.
1. Use of Lister
Lister provides a technology platform that allows users to create and discover listings and communicate with other users.
Unless specifically stated otherwise, Lister is not the seller, buyer, manufacturer, distributor, agent, broker, or owner of products listed by users.
Transactions are generally conducted directly between users.
2. User Eligibility
Users must provide accurate information when creating an account or listing.
Users must not:
- Impersonate another person or business.
- Create an account using false information.
- Use another person's account without authorization.
- Use Lister for unlawful activities.
- Attempt to bypass Lister's security or moderation systems.
Lister may restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable laws.
3. User-Generated Content
Users may submit photographs, titles, descriptions, prices, reviews, messages, and other content (“User Content”).
Users are responsible for the content they submit.
By submitting User Content, you confirm that:
- You have the necessary rights or permission to submit it.
- It is not knowingly false or misleading.
- It does not violate applicable law.
- It does not infringe another person's intellectual-property or other legal rights.
Lister may review, restrict, modify, or remove content that violates these Terms, applicable law, or Lister policies.
4. Prohibited Items and Activities
Users must not list, advertise, sell, buy, exchange, or promote prohibited or unlawful goods or services.
Prohibited content may include, without limitation:
- Illegal goods or services
- Stolen property
- Counterfeit or fraudulent goods
- Illegal drugs or controlled substances
- Weapons or prohibited dangerous items
- Gambling or unlawful financial schemes
- Fraud, scams, phishing, or deceptive activities
- Fake identity or government documents
- Malware or malicious software
- Content that infringes intellectual-property rights
- Sexually exploitative or prohibited content
- Child sexual abuse or exploitation material
- Content promoting exploitation, abuse, or harassment
- Personal information unlawfully belonging to another person
- Pyramid schemes or unlawful schemes
- Any item or service prohibited under applicable Indian law
- Any content prohibited under applicable Google Play policies
Lister may remove prohibited listings and may suspend or terminate accounts involved in prohibited activity.
5. Listing Accuracy
Sellers must provide accurate information about their listings.
Where applicable, listings should accurately describe:
- Product name
- Condition
- Price
- Brand or model
- Quantity
- Location
- Ownership or authorization to sell
- Material defects
- Photographs
- Other important information
Users must not intentionally misrepresent a product or service.
6. Transactions Between Users
Lister generally does not participate in transactions between buyers and sellers.
Users are responsible for independently verifying the:
- Identity of the other party
- Product or service
- Ownership or authorization
- Condition and authenticity
- Price
- Payment arrangements
- Delivery or collection arrangements
Lister does not guarantee that a buyer or seller will complete a transaction.
Users are responsible for complying with applicable laws, taxes, licences, registrations, and other legal requirements.
7. Payments
Where payment functionality is provided by Lister, payments may be processed through third-party payment service providers.
Users may also be required to accept the terms of the applicable payment provider.
Lister does not unnecessarily store payment credentials and will handle payment-related information in accordance with applicable law and its Privacy Policy.
If Lister offers digital products, subscriptions, premium features, boosts, or other digital services through its Android application, applicable Google Play payment requirements will be followed.
8. Lister Paid Services
Lister may offer optional paid services such as:
- Featured listings
- Listing boosts
- Promotional placements
- Advertising services
- Subscriptions
- Other premium marketplace features
Applicable fees and important conditions will be shown before purchase.
Refunds, where applicable, will be handled according to the relevant service terms and applicable law.
9. Reporting
Lister provides users with mechanisms to report listings, content, or users that may violate these Terms or applicable law.
Reports may include:
- Fraud or scams
- Prohibited items
- Misleading listings
- Counterfeit products
- Harassment
- Inappropriate content
- Copyright or trademark concerns
- Suspicious activity
- Other Terms violations
Lister may investigate reports and take appropriate action.
10. Blocking Users
Where user communication or interaction is available, Lister may provide a blocking feature.
Users may block other users from interacting with them through supported Platform features.
Users must not use alternative accounts or other methods to evade legitimate blocking or moderation actions.
11. Content Moderation
Lister may use automated systems, manual review, user reports, or a combination of these methods to moderate content.
Lister may:
- Remove listings
- Restrict listing visibility
- Remove User Content
- Restrict messaging
- Suspend accounts
- Terminate accounts
- Investigate suspicious activity
- Take other reasonable actions necessary to protect the Platform and its users
Lister may cooperate with law-enforcement or regulatory authorities where legally required.
12. Intellectual Property
The Lister name, logo, branding, website, application, software, design, graphics, text, and other original Platform materials are owned by or licensed to Lister unless otherwise stated.
Users may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, sell, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit Lister's intellectual property without appropriate authorization, except where permitted by law.
Users retain ownership of content they submit.
By submitting content to Lister, users grant Lister a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, format, and distribute that content as reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, improve, and promote the Platform.
This licence does not transfer ownership of the user's content to Lister.
13. Copyright and Trademark Complaints
Lister respects intellectual-property rights.
If you believe that content on Lister infringes your copyright, trademark, or other intellectual-property rights, you may contact:

Complaints should contain sufficient information to identify the relevant right, content, listing, and supporting information.
Lister may remove or restrict content where appropriate.
14. User Safety
Users should exercise reasonable caution when dealing with other users.
Lister recommends that users:
- Verify products before making payment.
- Inspect products where reasonably possible.
- Avoid sharing unnecessary personal information.
- Use appropriate public or safe locations for local transactions.
- Be cautious of unusually low prices or urgent payment requests.
- Report suspicious activity.
Lister does not guarantee the identity, honesty, reliability, legality, safety, quality, or conduct of any user or listing.
15. No Guarantee of User Listings
Lister does not guarantee that:
- Listings are genuine.
- Products are authentic.
- Sellers legally own the products.
- Sellers will deliver products.
- Buyers will complete purchases.
- Products will match descriptions.
- Prices are accurate.
- Products are safe or fit for a particular purpose.
- Transactions will be completed successfully.
Users are responsible for evaluating a transaction before proceeding.
16. Third-Party Services
Lister may use third-party services such as payment providers, hosting providers, mapping services, analytics providers, authentication services, advertising services, and other technology providers.
Third-party services may have their own terms and privacy policies.
Lister is not responsible for the independent operation of third-party services.
17. Privacy
Lister's collection, use, storage, and disclosure of personal information are governed by the Lister Privacy Policy.
Users should review the Privacy Policy before using Lister.
Lister will handle personal and sensitive user data in accordance with applicable law and applicable Google Play requirements.
18. Account Deletion
Users may request deletion of their Lister account through the account settings or the account-deletion process provided by Lister.
Certain information may be retained where required or reasonably necessary for:
- Legal compliance
- Fraud prevention
- Security
- Dispute resolution
- Accounting or tax requirements
- Enforcement of legal rights
Any retained information will be handled according to applicable law and the Privacy Policy.
19. Advertising
Lister may display advertisements or promotional content from Lister or third parties.
Lister does not necessarily endorse every product, service, advertiser, or offer displayed through the Platform.
Users should independently evaluate third-party offers before entering into transactions.
20. Platform Availability
Lister aims to keep the Platform available and functional but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
The Platform may occasionally be unavailable due to:
- Maintenance
- Updates
- Technical issues
- Security incidents
- Internet or network problems
- Third-party service failures
- Circumstances beyond Lister's reasonable control
Lister may modify, suspend, or discontinue features where reasonably necessary.
21. Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Lister provides the Platform on an “as available” and “as is” basis.
Lister does not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, availability, suitability, or completeness of User Content or third-party information.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any rights or protections that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.
22. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Lister will not be responsible for losses arising from:
- User-to-user transactions
- Fraud committed by another user
- Incorrect or misleading listings
- Product defects
- Delivery or collection arrangements
- User communications
- Third-party services
- Unauthorized account access caused by the user's failure to protect their account
- Temporary Platform unavailability
- User-generated content
- Actions or omissions of buyers or sellers
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
23. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, users may be responsible for losses, claims, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from their:
- Violation of these Terms
- Violation of applicable law
- Infringement of third-party rights
- Fraudulent or unlawful activity
- Misuse of the Platform
- User Content
This section does not limit rights available to users under applicable law.
24. Suspension and Termination
Lister may suspend or terminate an account where reasonably necessary, including when:
- These Terms are violated.
- Fraudulent activity is detected.
- Prohibited content is posted.
- The account creates a security risk.
- A user attempts to evade moderation.
- Required by applicable law or a competent authority.
Users may stop using Lister at any time.
25. Changes to These Terms
Lister may update these Terms from time to time due to changes in:
- Laws and regulations
- Platform features
- Business operations
- Security requirements
- Applicable policies
Material changes may be communicated through the Platform or other reasonable methods.
The updated Terms will specify their effective date.
26. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by the applicable laws of India.
Subject to applicable law, disputes relating to Lister or these Terms shall be handled through the dispute-resolution process specified by Lister.

Nothing in these Terms prevents a consumer from exercising mandatory legal rights available under applicable law.
27. Grievance and Legal Contact
For legal complaints, grievances, prohibited-content reports, copyright complaints, or other legal matters do not hesitate to contact us.
Lister will review legitimate complaints and respond in accordance with applicable law.
28. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
29. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Lister Privacy Policy and any additional terms applicable to specific Lister services, constitute the terms governing use of the Platform, subject to applicable law.
30. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, posting a listing, communicating with another user, or otherwise using Lister, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
